New Players

New Players, here are some suggested things to do to start off your new life in "UOKingdom".

Kill a few monsters in the wilds surrounding New Haven or attack the undead south of New  Haven!

Visit the training room to raise your martial skills. Get there by going to Britain bank. Next to it is a fancy enclosure around a moon gate. This will take you to the gate room. Find the gate marked "Training Room". Training is pretty fast but not instant.

Go to an easy Trammel dungeon and kill some monsters. Once you have 20k gold you can purchase a full Magery Spellbook from the vendor stone in the Mage shop in Britain.

Introduce yourself via chat. To enter something in chat use the "[c" then type what you want.

Make sure you have used your complimentary skillball and raised your skills. Also, plan your skillball carefully. Raise skills that are hard to raise with a statball. Healing, taming, Lockpicking, and maybe even Magery are good skills to choose. I wouldn't suggest raising battle skills like swordsmanship or parry because you can raise those quickly in our training room.

Check out the Gate Room accessible via a Moon Gate just west of Britain Bank.

Feeling lucky? In the Gate Room is a moon gate that will take you to our Casino. Slots and games of chance abound. will you make money or lose it?

High begging and fishing allow you to gold pan. Gold pans are made with tinkering skill.

Find the city stone and pick up a commodity contract to run supplies from one city to another! Remember you can't use magic to travel! You will need a boat if you need to cross water!

Make a friend of an established player! Most of them will gladly show you around!

Tour the world's Museums from the Gateroom!

Take a trip to Luna and dip your arrows into the free dip tubs to punch up your archery damage!

Visit Britain and check out the Pet area! There is a pet rez stone and special pet vendor stones to buy leashes, bonding deeds, pet dyes, and much more!

Check out the Socket display so you can plan out how to build your player! All armor is socket able but only certain boots, robes, belts, jewelry, and talismans are socket able. Look for an item that has a durability display like "255/255". That usually means you can socket it. When in doubt ask the community or a staff member.

Remember to eat it will improve your skill gain! Harvest raw food from your kills and cook them to eat!

Grab some free arrows or bolts from the training room!

Train up many skills in the training room including taming, lockpicking, and even some lore-based skills like anatomy and arms lore!
